Support for staff to undertake the social work degree starting from September 2012

Places have become available for Workforce Development Unit (WDU) to be able to support staff from Children's Services to undertake the social work degree.

An application form and guidance is available to download below. Staff and managers must consider the time and cost implications of the programme to make an agreed decision.

Staff from Children's Services who have already undertaken some of the relevant modules are eligible to apply for support for the remainder of the programme. Black and Asian staff are particularly encouraged to apply due to under representation within the qualified workforce. 

Closing date for applications to be submitted to the Workforce Development Unit is 26th March 2012. For applications to Leicester University or De Montfort University, apply via UCAS as soon as possible.
