Mark Davis - Workforce Development Officer

Mark Davis

I am the lead for the Post Qualifying Specialist Award in Social Work with Adults and Older People's Mental Health Services.

I also undertake training for staff in Residential Services (older people), Domiciliary/Home Care Services and Day Services. Training is also undertaken on the Induction Programme (Adults). My background is social work, residential services, day services, the voluntary sector nationally, lecturing and research.

Ann Forde - Workforce Development Officer

My background is in Older Peoples Homes & Home Care Service. I take the lead for domiciliary home care services in the council and the private and voluntary sector.

Jane Hemsley - Workforce Development Officer

Jane Hemsley

I am a Workforce Development Officer for the Learning Disability Services across the city. My work involves liaising with, workforce planning and providing appropriate training and support for people who work within Learning Disability Services. As part of a multi-agency training team and working party I also provide support and training to develop Person Centred Planning within the statutory & independent sector in Leicester.

Jon Ibbitson - Workforce Development Officer

My background is in day care, residential care, but mostly adult and older persons commissioning teams.

I have lead responsibility for safeguarding adults workforce development.

Theresa King - Workforce Development Officer

I am a Workforce Development Officer and my main lead is on supporting the personalisation agenda and working with staff and managers in the Care Management Division. Prior to joining Workforce Development Unit, I worked in Children’s Services. I then spent seven years working in the Prison Service, as a Drug Treatment Manager and Trainer.

I promote in-house, voluntary, independent and charitable organisations providing support and community-based services to meet the needs of people who have mental health problems.

Sarah Taylor - Workforce Development Officer

Sarah Taylor

I am involved in a number of areas of work: developing an Autism training package, Support with Confidence, SCIP and positive behaviour support, Adult Social Care Induction and embedding personalisation into our learning disability provider services. I work closely with SCPU to enable commissioned homes to achieve good standards of care.

Sarah Oliver - Workforce Development Officer

Sarah Clark

With a background in a variety of social care settings ranging from homelessness, substance use and dual diagnosis, learning disabilities and elder persons services, I am currently using my skills, knowledge and experience to support residential care homes to raise standards, meet the outcomes of the Common Induction Standards and plan and address the learning and development needs of the workforce.

 

I am passionate about the delivery of excellence in Dementia care and I am driven to support organisations and teams in house and externally to change the way they deliver dementia care in a way that embraces the ethos of person centred working and improves outcomes for residents.
