Workforce Development Officers - Children's Services

Julie Ovington

I am responsible for the Children’s Workforce Development Safeguarding Training across Leicester City.  In particular, Safeguarding Children Level 2b and I also deliver specialist Child Protection at level 4, which is the Investigators course for Social Workers.

I have lead responsibility for PQ Child Care, the 'consolidation' module and the 'full award' delivered in conjunction with Nottingham Trent University.

Jayne Paterson

I am a Workforce Development Officer and my main area of responsibility is for fieldwork teams in Children and Young People’s Services.  I lead on the co-ordination and delivery of the CWDC NWSW project and early professional development (EPD) for qualified social workers.  Finally I act as the Link Officer for Children and Young People’s Services with Research in Practice.
