The Blue Badge scheme is a national arrangement of parking concessions for people with severe walking difficulties who either travel as drivers or passengers. 

 

The Blue Badge scheme is designed to allow badge holders access to on street parking close to their destination and is available to persons who:

  • have severe walking difficulties and travel either as a driver or passenger 

  • are registered blind 

  • have severe upper limb disabilities and regularly drive a vehicle but cannot turn a steering wheel by hand.
