Adapting Homes

Leicester City Council works with people of all ages, from children to older people.

If you are a person with a physical disability experiencing difficulties living safely at home, you can get in touch with us.

We can give you equipment to make life easier or make simple adaptations to your home like handrails. If you rent your home from the city council, all adaptations are free of charge.

Falls remains the biggest cause of accidental death for older people. About one third of people aged over 65 years of age will fall each year. Information on the Falls Strategy.
