Every year, dozens of single people and couples throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and the East Midlands region adopt and become new families for a child, or children, who can no longer be brought up by their birth parents.
The children in our care need people like you to adopt them and give them love, security, trust, a home and a new family for life.
You might think adopting and becoming an adopter is too difficult. Or you’ll get turned down based on your age or particular circumstances. Misconceptions often stop people taking the next step and going on to adopt!
In reality, most people we assess go on to adopt and have children placed with them.
Whether you’re making initial enquiries about adoption, or looking to take the next steps and perhaps begin your adoption application, this website will provide you with a more in-depth knowledge about adopting in the East Midlands region.
Included are answers to some of the most common questions we get asked about adoption. Plus, you can watch and read real life videos and stories, so you can see and hear first-hand the experiences from some of the people we have helped to adopt in the past. People who have adopted and become families for the first time – or who have welcomed a new, little person, or persons, into to their existing family.
Currently we are actively looking for new adopters from right across Leicestershire and the East Midlands, including parts of: Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire - including Coventry.
