Adoption Services East Midlands is here to help

Every year, we support dozens of single people and couples throughout Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and the East Midlands region who wish to adopt. We help them to become new families for one or more children who can no longer be brought up by their birth parents.

If you would like to have an initial chat about adoption, just call us during working hours on 0116 454 4540. If you would like to speak to someone face to face, call for an appointment or pop into one of the popular monthly events listed above.

Why adopt?

The children in our care need people like you to give them love, security, trust, a home and a new family for life. Most of these children are aged under three, but there are older children too as well as sibling groups who need a home together.

You might think that becoming an adopter will be too difficult or that you’ll get turned down based on your age or particular circumstances. There are so many myths about adoption. So please don't rule yourself out without speaking to us and getting the facts.

In reality, the great majority of people we assess go on to successfully adopt and have children placed with them.

Whether you are making initial enquiries or looking to take the next steps and  begin your adoption application, this website will provide you with a more in-depth knowledge about adopting in the East Midlands region. Included are answers to some of the most common questions we get asked about adoption. Plus, you can watch and read real life videos and stories, so you can see and hear first-hand the experiences from some of the people we have helped to adopt in the past.

Currently we are actively looking for new adopters from right across Leicestershire and the East Midlands, including parts of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire - including Coventry.

If you would like to discuss anything further, don’t hesitate to contact us. We are happy to give you impartial advice about what to do now or in the future

Call us on 0116 454 4540.
