Leicester’s Healthy Heart
Leicester's Healthy Heart

Developed by NHS Leicester City and Leicester City Council, Leicester’s8217;s Healthy Heart is a campaign to highlight the positive effect that leading a healthy lifestyle has on the heart.

Phase one of the campaign, which ran from June 2011-September 2011, focused on the benefits that regular exercise has on heart health, with a particular emphasis on walking.

During autumn 2011, phase two aimed to raise awareness of the effect that alcohol has on the heart and the importance of drinking within recommended healthy limits.

The current phase of the campaign focuses on the effect that smoking has on heart health, whilst highlighting the range of support and advice services available to people who are wishing to stop.
