Financial Assessment for Non-Residential Social Services

We can sometimes help pay for the cost of care provided in your own home, or for other services such as Mobile Meals, Occupational Therapy, Day Services, etc, although you may have to pay some money towards this care as well.

Following the assessment of your care needs, which will identify the amount of care that you require at home to remain independent or other services you require, your social worker will arrange for a finance officer from the our Adults and Housing department to visit you, or someone acting on your behalf, to carry out a full financial assessment.

During the financial assessment visit, the Finance Officer will also be able to provide advice on various benefits that you may be able to claim from the Benefits Agency, if you are not already doing so.  If it is identified that you may be able to claim for additional benefits, the Finance Officer will be able to help you complete the forms.
