Arranging for your own care (self funding)
The City Council’s policy on self-funding is currently under development. However, people who wish to self-fund are entitled to a Community Care Assessment - as is anybody who requests one.
Our aim is for people who wish to fund their own care to be able to make informed choices.
The booklet ‘Directory of Care Providers’, published by East Midlands CARE, provides a comprehensive section on paying for your own care.

Counsel and Care is the national charity working with older people, their families and carers to get the best care and support.
