Lunch clubs are arranged by voluntary groups in the city and are based in a variety of venues. The clubs offer people the opportunity to socialise and have a nutritious and well balanced hot meal.
Volunteers run the clubs and if you are able to travel you can attend any club of your choice. In some cases transport may be provided (enquire at the club about transport). Many clubs cater for people from ethnic minority communities.
A lunch club is not the same as a
day centre: it doesn't offer the same levels of staffing or facilities.
