We know how important it is to prepare for inspection, (as the saying goes ‘fail to prepare, prepare to fail’). We want staff to be aware that the inspection could be notified at any time and are working hard to make sure we are ready when that happens.
So far we have:
- begun a self-audit of our services against OfSTED indicators
- collated the key documents that OfSTED will need
- prioritised areas for action
- developed this webpage and drafted newsletters (download below)
How can staff prepare for the inspection?
Front line practitioners and team managers should ensure that their work is focused and up to date, with clear evaluations, in line with procedures and showing evidence of good social work methods and involvement of children and families.
