Inspectors assess the Local Authority against a set of grade descriptors and evaluation criteria in order to form judgements across the 22 areas of inspection.
The attached document gives a more comprehensive explanation of the evaluation criteria. Grade descriptors illustrate what outstanding, good, adequate and inadequate are in relation to the judgements made. Grade descriptors are not exhaustive, but illustrate the level of service or outcome linked to that particular grade.
