The human resources and workforce strategy group has been established to develop and progress both the human resource and workforce development Strategies. This remit of the group includes taking a longer term view of workforce requirements and ensure that the recruitment, retention, deployment and skills development of staff meet the business objectives of the Department.
The group is responsible for implementing the Children's Workforce Strategy for the local authority workforce and the implementation plan.
The remit includes:

Within the organisation/service(s) that they represent, securing the necessary agreement to commit the operational resources that have been identified for example if a particular training is recommended for specific roles, the workforce lead will be responsible for
a. Ensuring this happens in the
timescales agreed
b. Evidencing it has happened,
outcomes, and cost implications
