The Highway Maintenance Group deals with complaints or enquiries about pavement obstructions such as:
- shop displays
- advertisement boards
- builders’ skips
- overhanging and hazardous trees.
Guidelines have recently been approved to control advertising boards and other advertising structures on the highway and a copy of the guidelines can be downloaded below.
The guidelines will enable us to minimise the potential problems that they can cause to highway users particularly disabled people whilst allowing businesses to advertise their presence.
Non-compliance with the guidelines will result in removal of the A board and the costs of removal being invoiced to the owner.
