Builders skip permits

Builders skips placed on the highway need to be licenced. Licences are issued to skip companies.

Scaffold, hoarding and deposit of materials

Highway Maintenance issues licences for the erection of scaffolding, hoarding and deposit of materials on the highway.

  

Licence application form

A MS Word copy of the Scaffolding, Hoarding or Deposit of Materials Licence form can be down-loaded (click on attachment below).

 

The form can be completed electronically, saved and emailed to us or printed and returned by post or fax.

Please note the conditions that apply to all licences. Additional conditions may apply to some sites and these will be shown on the licence when granted.

  

Temporary excavation

Traffic Operation issues licences for temporary excavations in the highway which are not for the purpose of accessing utility equipment.  Please contact them on 0116 223 2183 or

traffic.management@leicester.gov.uk

 

Unlicensed pavement obstructions

Action may be taken about unlicenced scaffolding, hoarding, builders materials, temporary excavation or skips which may result in removal.

 

Problems can be reported via the Customer Service Line or, at any time, using the One Clean Leicester website.
