The Highway Design function includes commissioning, designing and supervising the construction of new highway and traffic schemes, and the construction of drainage schemes.
Highway Design prepare tenders, specifications for road and drainage schemes in Leicester. Tendered schemes are supervised on site and completed work valued by our engineers and technicians. The team also advises on the suitability of road geometry to achieve casualty reduction in the City.
Other functions include the design of direction signs for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
