Leicester City Centre Parking

Leicester has more than 7,500 off-street car parking spaces for public use. They are within easy walking distance of the city centre, with its shopping and recreation facilities.


In addition there are many public car parks in the city. City centre parking is divided into four zones:



NORTH Haymarket / Abbey Street / Lee Circle
SOUTH Welford Road / Newarke Street
EAST Rutland Centre / East Street
WEST Highcross / St Nicholas Circle


Blue Badge holders

All Council operated city centre car parks offer free parking for disabled people displaying a blue badge. Council operated car parks are indicated below with the following symbol*.

Parking for motorcycles


Free parking for motorcycles is available in the following car parks:


  • Newarke Street Phoenix
  • Granville Road
  • Victoria Park
  • Granby Hall

 

Free motorcycle parking is also available on Horsefair Street, Bowling Green Street and Abbey Street in the city centre.
