Leicester's Local Transport Conference 2012

The 4000th Pot Hole

Leicester's Local Transport Conference 2012 will take place on Wednesday 25th April from 09.30 to 16.30.

Leicester's Deputy City Mayor and cabinet lead for Transport and Climate Change, Rory Palmer, says: "This event will bring together individuals and organisations with an interest in discussing and shaping the city’s transport policy. An effective transport network is important for the city’s economy, for tackling poverty and social exclusion and reducing harmful emissions and improving the environment."

 

"I am pleased that Martin Frobisher, Route Managing Director East Midlands from Network Rail, will be joining us as keynote speaker in the afternoon."

 

The event will start with an optional tour giving a chance to see behind the scenes at a range of the city’s transport operations. During the afternoon session, at the Leicester Tigers ground on Welford Road, there will be opportunities to discuss the big transport challenges and opportunities facing Leicester. Workshop discussions will take place covering key areas of transport policy.
