Liberty Protection Safeguards

Following the Mental Capacity Amendment Bill becoming law, the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards will be replaced by a new Scheme called Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS).

There is not yet a confirmed date when this replacement scheme will come into effect but for further information on what this new scheme will involve please see Liberty Protection Safeguards resources.
