Get the latest information and advice

Our events

Come to one of our events and speak to a member of the adoption team and get advice from people who have already adopted.

OFSTED rates our adoption service as 'good'. This means we provide a very high standard of assessment and training as well as getting a good match between adopter and their new child.

All our face to face events are cancelled until further notice. If you would like to talk to someone from the adoption team, please phone 0116 454 4540, 10am to 2pm, Monday to Fridays.

Virtual information evening

This friendly and welcoming on-line event will provide you with advice and information about the adoption process, whether you have just started thinking about adoption or whether you definitely know this is something you want to do.

We are always pleased to hear from you, whether you are able to provide a home for a single child or a sibling group of two or more children and whether you yourself are single, in a relationship, civil partnered or married.  We welcome adopters from the LGBT+ community. We are always pleased to hear from Black African or Caribbean adopters as there is a national shortage of adopters for children from these backgrounds.
