Spinney Hill Park
Created in 1885, Spinney Hill Park is a popular park with 34 acres of sloping parkland with walks under shady tree avenues, playgrounds and ball courts.
Money from the Heritage Lottery Fund has allowed substantial improvements to be made. These included a new infinity garden, improvements to the brook, the creation of a new reading mound, upgraded paths, and improvements to seating and furniture.
In 1986 more than 150 trees were planted following the park's centenary.
