Do you know a local sports star or dedicated volunteer who puts heart and soul into your club? The awards night will recognise the sporting achievements of teams and individuals across the city.
What are the categories for the awards?
The awards night will recognise the sporting achievements of teams and individuals across the city, between 1 September 2016 to 31 August 2017. This includes the dedicated volunteers who give up their spare time to coach teams or individuals, and those unsung heroes who tirelessly behind the scenes to help a club run smoothly.
There are eight categories and all nominees must live, attend school, volunteer or represent a club within the city boundaries of Leicester.
The eight categories are:
- Young Sportsperson of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Sportsperson of the Year
- Community Club of the year
- Get Active Award
- Disabled Sportsperson of the Year
- Lifelong Contribution to Sport and Physical Activity in Leicester.
How do I make a nomination?
The deadline for submitting nominations was Monday 8 January 2018.
When is the presentation evening?
All shortlisted nominees will be invited to a presentation evening on Monday 15 January in the Attenborough Hall which is located in City Hall, 115 Charles Street, Leicester LE1 1FZ.
