How will I find out which school my child has been allocated?

Offers will be sent by email to the email address you provided when submitting your application.

What happens after I receive the offer of a school place for my child?

To accept your offer, please contact your offered school.

If you have not secured a place at one or more of your higher preferred schools, your child has been added to the waiting list(s). More information on how waiting lists are maintained can be found further below.

Can I appeal for a place at a preferred school?

You can appeal online for one of your preferred schools.

If you have been refused a place at a county school and wish to lodge an appeal, you will need to contact Leicestershire County Council.

If you have been refused a place at any of the following schools and wish to lodge an appeal, you will need to contact them directly as these schools arrange their own appeals.

• Holy Cross Catholic School, a Voluntary Academy

Understanding waiting lists

Waiting lists are maintained until July 2024. After this time the waiting lists will close, and you will need to make a new application if you still wish for your child to transfer schools in a new academic year.

Please note that a child’s position on the waiting list can change as they are held in order of the admissions criteria. If a place becomes available, it will be offered to the first child on the waiting list.
