Information for parents and carers of children transferring from infant school (Year 2) to junior school (Year 3), starting in autumn 2019.
Applying for school place
You can apply for a school place from Wednesday 12 September 2018.
Please note all applications made after midnight 15 January 2019 for transferring to a junior school in autumn 2019 will be treated as a late application.
If you wish to apply for a school place starting autumn 2018 then please complete an in-year admission application.
Choosing a school

Infant to junior school transfer timetable

|Appeals against a refusal of a place||June to July 2019|
Closing date - midnight on Tuesday 15 January 2019
All applications received after this date will be treated as late and will be dealt with after those received on time and you are less likely to be offered a place at your preferred schools.
What happens next?
For on-time applications you will be sent an email (or a letter) informing you which school has been allocated on Tuesday 16 April 2019.
