Clarendon Park resident parking scheme

A parking scheme is in operation in Clarendon Park (zone K) to address the problem of commuter parking. This is in two phases. Phase 1 is now permanent.

Phase 2 update

Phase 2 will be permanent from 1 October 2022. For information regarding permits and eligible addresses please see the Get a parking permit page.

Please note

Unlike other parking schemes in the city, these measures are limited to a restriction on non-residents parking between 9.30 and 10.30am on weekdays only.

Phase 1 has now been made permanent and phase 2 is running from 1 October 2021. The scheme focuses on the streets in the Clarendon Park and Welford Road area.

What is the aim of the scheme?

The scheme is designed to stop commuters from outside the area using the streets to park for free all day.

If you live in one of the properties in the parking zone you may be eligible for a permit for your vehicle. Permit holders can park in any residents' parking bay within the zone indicated on the permit as long as the permit is clearly displayed in the vehicle. Please be aware submitting an application or waiting for it to be sent is not sufficient to park in a residents' bay.
