Apply for a crisis grant
Where a person has suffered a sudden and unexpected misfortune and is left with no funds for their immediate daily essentials. Applications are made over the telephone.

Apply for a support grant
Where a person needs support to establish themselves or remain in the community. Typically, we will look to help with essential items for a home such as basic furniture and white goods. Applications for support grants are submitted online.
Awards will be made by way of a food parcel, vouchers for gas/electricity prepayment meters if you are liable for the property, reused furniture and re-used white goods.
Each case will be treated on its own merits, and all customers will receive equal and fair treatment. You can download the full Community Support Grant policy at the bottom of the page.
How long will the application process take?
As part of the application process, you will need to answer a number of questions related to your circumstances. If you are eligible, you will be directed to the main application form.
For crisis grants, a decision is usually made within two working hours of receipt of a verified and completed application form.
For support grants, a decision is usually made within 10 working days of receipt of a verified and completed application, and successful claimants may have to wait for up to 5 days for delivery of the items. Please bare in mind we may request supporting evidence to complete your application.
