Single person discounts
If only one adult lives in a property as their main home, the bill may be reduced by 25 per cent. This is called a single person discount.

How do I claim a reduction?
- Apply for or cancel a single person discount by using the link above (change your single person discount status)
- Or email council.tax@leicester.gov.uk and request a Single Person Discount form.
- If you wish to notify us of a change in circumstances due to a bereavement, please do not complete this form. Instead, please email the information to us, quoting the council tax reference number and address concerned.
