Adult learning taster sessions

During Libraries Week, Leicester Adult Education will be offering a programme of free taster sessions and learning activities in our libraries. There will be lots of opportunities to learn something new. Sessions will include art, textiles, pottery, digital skills, using your smart devices, English, maths and ESOL; employability and Family Learning.

Monday 3 October

Have a Go: Pottery, BRITE Centre, 10am-12noon

An ideal introduction for those new to the world of clay.  Learn how to prepare a textured sheet of clay to make a small dish or diva tea light holder. All resources provided. Limited spaces: please ring 0116 299 5476 to book a place.

Watercolours - Landscapes, Beaumont Leys Library, 10am-12noon

The tutor will demonstrate basic watercolour skills to create expressive landscape paintings. The session will also look at painting using various techniques to suggest space and freshness, plus offering advice on mixing colours to create different moods. No booking required.
