Dealing with an invoice for someone else

If you are acting on behalf of someone else, we may need their permission to speak to you. Contact us and we’ll carry out the necessary security checks.

Acting on behalf of someone who has died

If you are the personal representative of someone who has died, we may have sent an invoice to you because we have a provisional claim against that person’s assets.

The personal representative is the person responsible for dealing with any money, property or possession left by someone who has died, known as their estate. The representative is either called an executor, or an administrator.

If there is not enough money in the estate to pay the debts of the person who has died, the people owed money generally can’t recover it from anyone else, including the deceased’s surviving relatives.

We will need you to complete a value of estate form and return it to us.
