If you are struggling to pay

We recognise some people have difficulties paying their debts, we have a debt policy to help anyone in this position.

Having difficulty paying your invoice?

If you are having difficulty paying your invoice, you should get in touch to make arrangements to pay by instalments:

You may be asked to provide details of your income and spending so we can decide the level of payment you can reasonably afford. It’s helpful if you have gathered this information before calling us. Using our budgeting advice tool is an easy way to do this. It will help plan your spending and make your money go further.

Sometimes you may not be able to pay your debt within a reasonable amount of time. If this happens, we will refer your case for legal enforcement, so the debt can be secured by a county court judgement (CCJ).

You can download our debt policy at the bottom of the page.

The Debt Respite Scheme (Breathing Space Moratorium and Mental Health Crisis Moratorium) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020 came into force on the 4 May 2021; aiming to help people in debt, manage their finances and seek professional debt advice. We work with local debt advice partners detailed above who can help provide this support.

You can access help by completing an online form found on Citizens Advice Leicestershire website.
