Leicester Jobs Fund
Local employers are invited to apply for the Leicester Jobs Fund (LJF), which has been designed to support you to create 6 month-long or 12 month apprenticeships for unemployed economically inactive individuals’.
How we can help
We will work with employers to support the creation of new jobs and apprenticeships by offering a grant of £2,500 towards wage costs. These individuals must be between the age of 16 to 24 and must be residents of Leicester or Leicestershire.
We will assist employers with recruiting young people to the jobs; however the employer always makes the final decision on employing an eligible candidate.
- Streamlined grant application process
- Promotion of approved posts
- Access to job-ready individuals
- Pre-screening of candidates prior to interview
- Links with support services to help your employees whilst in work
- Regular employee monitoring offering pastoral support.
We are funding this scheme alongside the Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership and Talent Match (funded by the Big Lottery Fund).
