Knife crime and serious violence strategy
Leicester’s knife crime and serious violence strategy 2021-2023 sets out our plans for early intervention, prevention and provision of services to reduce knife crime and serious violence.
The strategy was developed through conversations and collaboration with communities, partner agencies and voluntary groups to find ways to:
- address the root causes of knife crime and serious violence
- ensure that those who use knives to commit crime are supported away from this behaviour
- help everyone to feel safer.
With partners we identified a range of specific recommendations covering education, employment and training, young people, communities, partnership working, policy and process.
