The DVD, ‘A year in the life of the Lord Mayor of Leicester’ has been designed to inform and enthrall people on the Civic role of Lord Mayor. Aimed at people of all ages the seven minute film with narration explains the role of Lord Mayor and shows the many engagements undertaken. The short film shows the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress undertaking their civic duties within Leicester but edited to be inclusive of the yearly change of office holder. The Lord Mayor being a predominately voluntary office has key themes which relate to citizenship and community cohesion.
