Doubtless a brother of John Leverich, mayor in 1335 (No. 33). He entered the gild in 131&7, was a coroner 1327, M.P. for the borough 1332 and again mayor 1345. His name is associated with others as one of the founders of the gild of Corpus Christi. Died about 1355.

(Henry, earl of Lancaster and Leic., died here at the castle towards the latter end of 1345, and was buried in the Collegiate church of the Newarke, the king, Edward III, and his queen attending the funeral).
