Probably a grandson of Robert de Coventre who was living here in 1354. He died about 1456. Members of the Coventry family were living at Leic. in the early part of the thirteenth century. They were engaged chiefly as mercers and skinners. Henry de Coventre was admitted a gildsman in 1248, taking up that position by birthright.
