1616   THOMAS HEYRICK, (Mercer).

Third son of AId. John Heyrick, mayor in 1557 ; was born about 1558, admitted a freeman 1584,5 as the apprentice of AId. Wm. Morton, became a member of the council 1591, chamberlain in 1598 and with other townsmen, signed the memorial for the Sunday closing of shops in 1606. At the death of his brother, AId. Robert Heyrick in 1618, he continued for a time with the latter's ironmongery business in the Market Place. He married and had issue.

AId. Thomas Heyrick was buried at St. Martin's 8 June 1625. His will was proved at Leic. 28 June following.
