Third son of Robert Ludlam of Leic. and a relative of

AId. Wm. Ludlam, mayor in 1624. He was baptized at St. Martin's 24 October 1585, admitted a freeman 1611~ 12, elected a chamberlain 1631, alderman 1635, and was an active member of the Parliamentary Committee sitting at Leic. during the Civil Wars.

Aid. Ludlam was again mayor in 1654. He died leaving issue in 1663, being buried at St. Martin's 7 May, aged seventy~eight. Will proved at Leic. 10 July 1663.
