Son of John and Elizabeth Stevenson of Leic., was baptized at St. Margaret's 14 October 1751, apprenticed for seven years to Thos. Burley of Leic., woolcomber,
and admitted a freeman 19 June 1790, elected one of the chamberlains in 1793 and later raised to the alder manic bench. He died 12 September 1818, aged sixty-eight, and was buried in St. Margaret's churchyard. M.I. there.
