1824 CHARLES COLEMAN

1824 CHARLES COLEMAN, (Hosier).

(393)

Belonged to an old Leic. family, being the eldest son of Thomas Coleman of the borough, hosier. Born about 1776 and enrolled a free burgess 29 November 1800; was a joint chamberlain in 1809 and carried on a hosiery business for a number of years in Belvoir Street; married and had several children. The exact date of his death has not been discovered. He appears to have been living in 1835 but died soon afterwards and was probably buried at St. Margaret's, where the remains of his wife were already resting.
