The easiest way to pay for many of our services is to do it online. It's fast and secure and we accept most credit and debit cards.

Pay council tax
Pay council tax or non-domestic rates online by credit or debit card.
Pay housing or garage rent
You'll need the housing or garage rent reference number found on your Rent Card.
Pay a parking fine (PCN)
You'll need your vehicle registration number and the penalty charge notice number.
Pay a bus lane fine
Pay your PCN notice, view the contravention or make a presentation against the Penalty Charge Notice. You will need details of the PCN number and registration number of the vehicle.
Pay business rates (NNDR)
You'll need the Business Rates reference number.
Pay annual licence fees
For activities covered by the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 or street trading. You'll need the licence number and premises details.
Pay an income collection invoice
You'll need the invoice number.
Pay benefits over-payment
Please have your invoice number handy.
Pay for a student buss pass
You'll need the student reference number when paying for an LA bus pass.
Pay a truancy penalty notice
You'll need the penalty notice reference number and the child's name.
Pay for copy certificates
Order registration certificates (birth, death, marriage, or civil partnership). You'll need to know details of the person or persons the certificate refers to and give a reason for ordering copies
Pay a fixed penalty notice
If you've been issued with a fixed penalty notice for an environmental offence you can pay it online.
Pay by telephone
You can now pay for the following Council Services, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, using our secure automated telephone payments facility:
- Council Tax
- Business Rates (NNDR)
- Housing (or Garage) Rents
- Customer Accounts Invoices
- Car Parking Fines
- Bus Lane Enforcement Penalty Charge Notice
- Benefits Overpayments
Call 0116 454 1012 and follow the instructions. Please ensure that you speak slowly and concisely. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch or Maestro cards and won't charge you a processing fee. Just have your card details and relevant account number from your bill ready when you call.
Your payment will be credited to your account usually within one working day. There is no charge or minimum payment required for debit or credit card payments.
