Disability benefits

Benefits for people aged 16 to 64 with a long-term health condition or disability have changed. Personal independence payments (PIP) began to replace disability living allowance in April 2013.

Further information

These benefits are meant to help with some of the costs associated with a long-term condition or disability. In order to claim a PIP you will need an assessment – this is done by the Department for Work and Pensions, not us.
