Licensing Policy

Our current Licensing Policy came into effect on 7 February 2011.

The Licensing Act 2003 requires us to review our policy every three years. Following consultation undertaken in summer 2010, our policy was approved by the full Council on 25 November 2010.

We also revised our pool of model conditions in February 2011.

An Equality Impact Assessment for the previous policy is available below. We are currently working on the EIA for the changes made in the new policy.

Cumulative impact

The licensing policy for 2011-2014 includes four cumulative impact areas:

• Churchgate area

• Belvoir Street area

• Braunstone Gate area

• Granby Street and London Road area (off licences only)
