This competition is in its seventh year and is organised by City Catering and sponsored by the Midlands Co-op.
All the competitors received a goody bag for participating.
The competitors work in pairs to prepare a two course nutritionally balanced meal for just £1.30 per person, producing four portions on each dish.
Eight teams competed in this years’ event held at New College, they were from City of Leicester, Sir Jonathan North and New College.
Jenala Simwanzw & Michaela Green from City of Leicester were the overall winners they produced Jamaican Burgers with Salsa served in Buns and Mango & Ginger Upside down Pudding with Vanilla Yogurt.
The Highly Commended Main Course was won by Keighley Jogi & Alex love from New College, they produced Sweet & Sour Pork with Rice.
The Highly Commended Dessert was won by Tyla Fieldsend & Louix Patel from City of Leicester they produced Strawberry Sandwich.
Well done to all the competitors.
This years competition will be held at Sir Jonathan North C.C. on Friday 22nd June.
