Community Engagement Officers
Supporting Our Local Communities
Nine new community engagement officers started in a new role aimed at encouraging more community involvement across the city.
Since they started, the team has been working closely with local residents, organisations, community groups and volunteers to set up projects aimed at bringing people together and benefiting local communities.
Each of the officers has their own area based on council wards, and attends local ward community meetings – so if you have an idea or an event planned, they’d like to hear from you. To find out who your local Community Engagement Officer is, please see the attached contact information.
Our community centres are available to hire for a wide range of events, with reduced rates for community groups.

Transforming Neighbourhood Service
We are currently reviewing the way we operate your local services, which includes community centres. We want to work with you to make these services fit for the future.
