Local Authority Building Control (LABC) runs a Partner Authority Scheme (in England and Wales) whereby work proposed by the partner company is checked for compliance at the plan submission stage by their partner authority, irrespective of where the work is to be carried out.
The Authority in whose area the work is being carried out will however inspect the work as normal, in accordance with the plans approved by the Partner Authority.
