Residential Land Availability By Map

Please note that this is a site for viewing maps and its output is predominantly graphic. Recommended browsers include Internet Explorer 5.5 or above and Firefox. The best screen resolution is 1024 by 768 although it will work at 800 by 600 .
The link above starts the CityStreAtZ (vers.2)  mapping application with the Residential Land Availability information as at 01/04/2011, split into 5 map layers:-

Extant Residential Planning Permissions >10 units (coloured YELLOW hatch,RED boundary);

Outstanding Residential Allocations (coloured LIGHT BLUE hatch,DARK BLUE boundary);

The 2 layers above are pre-loaded.

Student Flats (coloured PINK hatch and boundary);

LRC Intervention Areas, from ADOPTED Local Plan (coloured PINK hatch and boundary).

Adopted Local Plan Housing Allocations (coloured DARK BROWN)

You can view any combination of these layers together with Planning Sites and Planning Application boundaries by selecting them from the layer visibility menu and clicking the Refresh Map button. You can  navigate by using the tools to zoom and pan within the map window itself. It is also possible to search for any property or site by address, postcode or building name.

To retrieve details of Residential Sites use the information tool to click inside the site of interest. Follow links through to Planning and Site Details.

The planning boundaries are shown in colour on these maps: most of the boundaries are red, but there may be other colours such as green, purple, blue, etc. As planning applications can relate to either a part, the whole or more than your specific site, you must use the information tool to click on the map, either side of any coloured boundary crossing your site. Just clicking once within the centre of the site will only return information for that point.

If there is any Planning History then a pop up will appear with the relevant Planning Property Reference Number(s) and associated link(s) to the Planning Applications Database. Follow these links to get planning application details.
