The Local Housing Allowance rate is only the starting point for working out your entitlement. The amount you receive will depend on your household's income and savings, and any non-dependants living with you. This means that your Local Housing Allowance could be higher, or lower than the amount of rent you have to pay. However, your entitlement will never be higher than the applicable Local Housing Allowance rate in the table above.
Find out how you will be affected if you have an existing claim, in payment prior to April 2011.
