It's Your Neighbourhood

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), It’s Your Neighbourhood scheme in Leicester is supported by Leicester City Council Parks Services and the regional office is East Midlands in Bloom. The campaign is part of the wider RHS Britain in Bloom initiative. Please click on the links for more information at a regional and national level.

This unique scheme enables volunteer led and owned community gardening groups to become involved and focused on cleaning up and greening their local area. It is an inclusive, non-competitive scheme which welcomes projects and groups of all kinds, bringing members of the community together to make a positive change to the place they live, work or spend their leisure time.

Please take a look at the information below and without obligation, feel free to give me a call if you have any further questions. You can also book me to visit your group and talk about the scheme. You can start your own group or join an existing one. Although this might sound daunting, help and guidance is available.

The main recruiting period for the current year starts in January and ends in April but we welcome entries all year round for the following year.

For a general over view of the scheme see ‘How to get involved’. For general information and news in Leicester see ‘Bulletin’ and examples of other group’s projects in Leicester click on the ‘Bloom Gallery’.
