The Leicester Society of Model Engineers

The Leicester Society of Model Engineers Ltd is located at:

The Abbey Park Miniature Railway Station Building

Running of the miniature railway takes place every Sunday afternoon from Easter Sunday to the end of October from 2:00 till 5:00pm

Working parties take place every Monday night during the summer and the 2nd, 4th & 5th Monday in the month from November to April from 7pm

Working parties and general "chit chat" every Monday night during the summer and 2nd, 4th and 5th Monday in the month from April to the end of October from 7:00pm

The Society has:

Twice monthly meetings October to April on topics of interest to model engineers at the The Cricketers, Grace Road, Leicester, 1st and 3rd Monday of each month commencing at 7.30pm

A ground level railway in Abbey Park catering for 7 ¼” and 5” gauges

A raised track catering for 5”, 3.5” and 2.5" gauges

A quarterly publication the “Buffer Stop”

A membership of over 100 with a wide range of interests.
