The Leicester Society of Model Engineers Ltd is located at:
The Abbey Park Miniature Railway Station Building
Running of the miniature railway takes place every 1st and 3rd Sunday in the month from Easter Sunday to the end of October from 2:00 till 5:00pm
Working parties take place on Saturday afternoons all year round from 2:00 to 5:00pm
Working parties and general "chit chat" every Monday night during the summer and 2nd, 4th and 5th Monday in the month from April to the end of October from 7:00pm
The Society has:
Twice monthly meetings October to April on topics of interest to model engineers at the The Foresters Institute, St Nicholas Circle, Leicester, 1st and 3rd Monday of each month commencing at 7.30pm
A ground level railway in Abbey Park catering for 7 ¼” and 5” gauges
A raised track catering for 5”, 3 1/2”, 2 ½” and 1¼" gauges
A quarterly publication the “Buffer Stop”
A membership of about 80 with a wide range of interests.
